Hi, I'm Michael Gonzales Jr.
I'm a fourth-generation water and wastewater operator, husband, father, rancher, and lifelong student of leadership.
For years, I knew I wanted to build a podcast. My original idea was very different from what eventually became The Clocked Podcast. As I continued developing that vision, something happened that completely changed my direction.
I wrote a post about the Silver Tsunami facing the water and wastewater industry and the urgent need to inspire the next generation to step into careers that quietly keep our communities running. The response was overwhelming. It reminded me how many people care deeply about this industry, its future, and the people who have dedicated their lives to it.
That moment gave me a new sense of purpose.
I realized this podcast could be more than entertainment. It could become a place where hard-earned knowledge is preserved, where the next generation discovers opportunities, they may never have considered, and where the stories behind the work continue to inspire long after the conversation ends.
While my roots are in the water and wastewater industry, The Clocked Podcast isn't limited to one profession. Every person has experiences worth sharing, lessons worth passing on, and a story that might encourage someone else to take the next step in their own journey.
When you pull up a chair, you're not just joining a podcast.
You're becoming part of a conversation that we hope will outlast all of us.
Raised in a family whose lives have been dedicated to the water and wastewater industry.
From working in the field to leading operations, I've learned that people are always the most important part of the job.
Husband, father, rancher, and believer that the best conversations don't stop when the workday ends.
Creating a place where stories, lessons, and experiences can be shared before they're lost.

Some of life's best lessons were never written down.
It's shared across a table, during long drives, on job sites, around campfires, and through the people willing to tell their stories.
The Clocked Podcast exists to preserve those conversations before they're forgotten.

Every person has experiences that shaped them.
Every lesson has a story behind it.
Every conversation is an opportunity to preserve something worth remembering.
No scripts.
No chasing headlines.
No rehearsed answers.
Just authentic conversations with remarkable people.
